On February 24, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine following a Declaration of War made by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, launching a full-scale ground-and-air assault across the entire country of Ukraine, destroying civilian targets and killing countless civilians in the process.

Since then, Ukrainian immigrants and Ukrainian-Americans have rallied across New York City in support of their home country, their troops, and the Ukrainian heroes who have continued to hold the Russian army despite being heavily outnumbered and outgunned. As a photographer who got my start in photojournalism, there isn't much else I can do in a time like this except shoot, document, and tell their stories through photos. I've been on the ground with these people as they peacefully protest the Russian invasion of their home, capturing what I can in the process.

I stand with Ukraine.
